Employee Benefits

HEALTH INSURANCE OPTIONS

Medical & Prescription Medical and prescription coverage is available for you and your family. Benefits include copays for visits to your PCP and the flexibility to choose a doctor within a large network.  We offer an HMO, PPO and HSA option for medical insurance through United Healthcare.

Dental Our dental insurance, provided through MetLife, covers 100% of preventative care and has an attractive co-insurance structure for other forms of service.  We also have an orthodontia benefit offered for children under the age of 19.

Vision Plan participants have freedom of choice through an extensive network for vision care providers. Our vision insurance utilizes the VSP network, allows participants the ability to receive a new set of frames/lenses annually or the option to select contacts.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)  Health Care and Dependent Care accounts offer employees convenient payroll deductions with pre-tax dollars. The Health Care FSA includes a debit card to make eligible purchases easier.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Employees who elect the HSA medical plan, may also elect to save pre-tax dollars utilizing the HSA.  The HSAincludes a debit card and checks to make eligible purchases easier.

FINANCIAL SECURITY COMPENSATION

The St. Gregory’s University’s compensation plan uses as its guide the Benedictine core values of hospitality, stewardship, respect and justice.

Free Tuition
Employees and their eligible dependents receive FREE tuition to pursue their educational goals. Earn your Associate, Bachelor or Master degree for free!  

FINANCIAL PROTECTION 

Life Insurance & AD&D
St. Gregory’s provides a life insurance  and AD&D policies equal to $15,000, with optional coverage up to $500,000.

Short Term Disability

We provide employees with a policy that provides income replacement at 60% of base annual earnings. Benefits are received on a weekly basis for up to 26 weeks.

Long Term Disability
We provide employees with a policy that provides income replacement at 60% of base annual earnings. Benefits are received on a monthly basis for up to two years.

St. Gregory’s Work Environment
Employees work in a friendly and family-oriented environment. Both the Shawnee and Tulsa campus are easy to navigate, making it the norm to know all of your co-workers on a first name basis.

Paied Time Off (PTO)
Employees are offered 18 days of PTO during their first year. PTO accrual increases to 26 days annually based upon their length of service with the University.

Holiday Pay
Thirteen (13) university scheduled holidays are observed annually. In addition, the University is closed from Christmas Eve through New Years Day to allow employees more time to spend with their family and friends. 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
At no cost to employees, St. Gregory’s University offers a comprehensive counseling, education and referral services program to employees and eligible family members.

St. Gregory’s is committed to the health and wellness of all employees.

On-Site Fitness Center (Shawnee Campus only)
The newly updated Mabee Aerobic Center on the Shawnee campus has numerous, heart healthy features to offer you today! Members can take advantage of the Cardio Room, intramural gymnasium, field house gymnasium, indoor track, racquetball courts, indoor pool and hot tub, dry sauna. Membership is free to all employees and their families.

Tobacco Free
Both campuses at St. Gregory’s is tobacco-free, making the environment and air fresh for our faculty, staff, students and visitors.

Wellness Days
Employees are provided the opportunity to earn up to five (5) additional days off work simply by exercising three times per week for 30 minutes a session.

OTHER BENEFITS

Campus Activities
Employees are granted free admission to all sporting events on campus including basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball and track events. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your family on an evening or weekend.

Additional events include theatrical, dance and music productions throughout the year. Employees are granted admission to these events with the option to purchase tickets for family members at a reasonable rate.
