Congratulations on Completing Your Degree!
We are very proud of your accomplishments, and want to help you celebrate with your family and friends at our Commencement Ceremony, which will be held Saturday, May 6 in the Don and Jenetta Sumner Field House on the St. Gregory’s Shawnee Campus.
Below is the most up-to-date agenda for the Baccalaureate Ceremony and Graduation Day for you to plan your weekend accordingly.
Baccalaureate Ceremony - Thursday, May 4 at 11 a.m. in the Abbey Chapel
- Graduates, faculty and staff assemble at 10:45 p.m. in the lower level of Benedictine Hall to process to the Chapel
- Graduates must wear their cap and gown
Where to Be on Graduation Day - Saturday, May 6
10:00 a.m. | Meet on the Stairs of Benedictine Hall for the 2017 Class Photo
Family and friends may also take pictures, however a professional photographer will be taking the official photo that will be available to order online after graduation.
10:15 a.m. | Line up on the Garden Level of Benedictine Hall for Procession
Students should line up by degree. Staff members will be available to assist you. Name cards will be available at this time and MUST be filled out. Please write your name as you would like it to be read as you cross the stage.
10:45 a.m. | Begin Academic Procession to Field House
As you walk out of Benedictine Hall, you will be given a flower to place on the statue of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha. This is an ongoing tradition of graduates of St. Gregory’s. You will then continue to the Fieldhouse and proceed to your seats. Ushers will be on hand to guide you to the next available seat.
11:00 a.m. | Commencement Ceremony Begins
Please encourage family and friends to arrive as soon as possible. After 11 a.m. there may be instances, such as the invocation, where attendees will not be allowed in the ceremony right away. Handicap accessible seating will be available.
We will have a photographer on hand and ask that family and friends not approach the stage to take photos during the ceremony. St. Gregory’s will provide you with a 5x7 keepsake photo, which will be sent to the address you provide on your graduation application. Staged areas will be available after the ceremony for any photos family and friends would like to capture.
12:30 p.m.. | Graduate Reception
Invite your family and friends to meet you at the Graduate Reception in the Great Room of the Rockwood Center. The reception will begin immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony and will include light refreshments.

Return your completed form to the Registrar's Office or Student Services by Feb. 24. It is very important that you provide an accurate address on this application, as this will be where your degree and keepsake photo from the ceremony will be sent. Applications will be reviewed by March 11 and you will be sent an e-mail invitation to order your cap and gown and announcements.

Pay Your Graduation Fee and Confirm Your Account in the Business Office is Clear
Contact the Business office by phone 405-878-5415 to arrange payment for the Graduation Fee and ensure no outstanding balance remains.

Complete Your Financial Aid Exit Interview After Graduation
The Financial Aid Exit Interview is required by the federal government for all students who received federal aid. Contact the Financial Aid office for instructions on completing your exit interview by email at email@example.com or by phone 405-878-5396.
Plan Your Day!
Be sure to let your family know to arrive early! Parking fills up very quickly and they may need extra time to walk from their car to the Field House. The Graduation reception will immediately follow the ceremony and is open to all graduates, friends and family.
